Stage 1 Certification Overview
Since the publication of the Final Rule by The Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) on July 13, Menon Group has proceeded with its plans to address the Stage 1 Meaningful Use Core and Menu Objectives. Menon Group has solutions ready to implement that can help organizations achieve their goals.
Overall, Menon Group intends to certify the Discharge Instructions, Medication Reconciliation and Print The Record applications, which address two of the Core Objectives and one of the Menu Objectives for Stage 1.
Understanding that each organization will have its own approach to demonstrating Meaningful Use, Menon Group can help customers through different avenues.
- First, Menon Group will pursue certification for specific modules directly through an ONC-Authorized Testing and Certification Body (ONC-ATCB).
- In parallel, GE Healthcare is pursuing certification for Centricity Enterprise versions that include versions of Menon Group Discharge Instructions with and without prescription writing and Medication Reconciliation.
