Offline Access™ Options
Maintain Continuity of Care When You're OfflineAs your physicians and nurses come to depend more upon your clinical system, they need to know that critical patient information, such as the Medication Administration Record (MAR), is always available, even if the system is not. With the Offline Access application from The Menon Group, Inc., you can make sure that vital patient care information from the GE Centricity® Enterprise system is there for your clinical staff offline, such as during scheduled downtime or network outages.
The key to Offline Access is that it receives reports that the organization has determined to be critical to patient care activities and makes them available on designated PCs for access that is independent of the clinical system and the network. Recognizing that different organizations have different needs for supporting continuity of care, Menon Group offers two tightly integrated approaches to delivering reports to Offline Access. - WebReports & Offline Access: With this approach, WebReports takes reports generated in Centricity Enterprise, such as the Active Orders report, and sends it to Offline Access.
- Print The Record & Offline Access: For organizations that desire more control over the content and timeframes of the reports sent to Offline Access, the Print The Record application provides the ability to generate custom reports of patient record information in PDF format.
Key Features- Maintain Continuity of Care. Offline Access receives vital patient reports from either WebReports or Print The Record, such as current orders, current medications, or lab results for the previous 72 hours, and stores them on nursing-unit PCs. These reports are then available locally, independent of the clinical system and network.
- Simplify Downtime Procedures. Elaborate, paper-based downtime procedures can be difficult for staff to follow, which slows down patient care. Offline Access makes it easy – with a simple click of the mouse, critical patient information is at hand.
- Use PC-based Software to View Reports. The Offline Access application includes a Report Viewer for reports received from WebReports. Alternatively, PDF reports from Print The Record can be viewed with the readily available Adobe Reader application. In either case, the report viewer resides on the designaged nursing station PCs, independent of the servers and network.
