Send Clinical Data to Downstream Systems

For organizations that use the GE Centricity^® Enterprise system (formerly IDX Carecast or LastWord) the clinical database is a goldmine of information. These organizations can use Clinical Outbound Interfaces from the Menon Group Inc. to share clinical data with other solutions on their netowork, such as document management systems or wireless, hand-held solutions like MData from Mercury MD.

Findings Outbound Interface

This interface has been specifically engineered to take Vital Signs (VS) and Intake and Output (I&O) findings data from Centricity Enterprise and create standard HL7 messages for downstream systems. For organizations using solutions like MData, this interface lets physicians review VS and I&O data along with other patient information at the bedside.

Transcriptions Outbound Interface

This interface formats transcriptions, such as H&P's, operative notes, and radiology reports, as standard HL7 messages. The interface is triggered by actions in Centricity Enterprise, such as updating or signing a transcribed document, so the most recent version can always be available to other systems. One way organizations use this interface is to keep their deficiency tracking system up to date with changes related to the completion of transcribed documents.

General Interface Features

• Messages are in standard (v2.3 compliant) HL7 format.
• Interface messages are routed to the interface engine for distribution to other systems.
• Interface code is HP NonStop-based and complies with GE Healthcare Centricity Enterprise warranties concerning code modifications.
